What brings you in
The clinic's own list, the way it is written at the desk: vaccines, deworming, microchip, consultation, imaging, surgery, food. Tests and medication are usually done on the spot.
Puppies and kittens start here — one client's boy has been coming "since he was 2 months old".

Prevention first — "tudo começa na prevenção", as the clinic puts it.
Quick, done during a normal visit.
"They examined her straight away, diagnosed her and gave the medication there and then."
Diagnosis in the same building — no sending you across town.

Ask at the desk how to prepare your animal for the day.

The diet the vet recommends, on the shelf by the desk.

Founded by Eduardo Correia and Rosa Capela
The clinic was founded in 1990 by veterinarian Eduardo Correia and his wife, Rosa Capela, on a simple idea: bring together different areas, approaches and techniques to find the best strategy for each problem — and reach the best outcome for the animal.
Thirty-six years later it is still on Rua José Rocha, in Mafamude, and still the work of Eduardo, Rosa and a whole team — everyone who is there now and everyone who has passed through.

Caring is not a mechanical act. It is an exchange of energy, of constant care and of presence.
Respect
For the animal and for the person holding the lead.
Mutual trust
Clients who come back with their children's pets.
Transparency
Especially in moments of uncertainty and decisions with no way back.
Return visits
"Dr. Eduardo has known me since I was little — my mother's animals too."

In their words
I've been going to this clinic for about 20 years. All my animals were and are followed here. Not only for the affordable price, given the market, but for the trust it conveys. You feel the vets and assistants look after the animals' wellbeing. The only thing standing between it and perfection is the waiting time — but to me that's worth it to put our animals in good hands.
After spending a lot of time and money on my dog because of a skin problem with no solution, I was recommended this clinic. After just three weeks of treatment my Maggie is great — for a third of what I had spent elsewhere.
I went with my 17-year-old who couldn't walk and wasn't eating. Dr. Eduardo examined him in the car, since he couldn't get out. Three weeks later he's a young old man — going for walks and in great spirits. All at a fair price.
First visit, after a sleepless night looking for the right clinic for my kitten Mia. Everything well organised, with dear Lili sorting it all out and being gentle with Mia. They're not exploiters, they're human — basically a family that welcomes us.
Where I always take my dog. Dr. Eduardo has known me since I was little — he's been the vet of my animals and of the animals in my mother's life. Very human and, above all, honest, without pushing money out of people.
I've been going to Dr. Eduardo for 25 years. Magnificent vets, great service.
